Today's Adventures = Conegliano!
Today was awesome, mixed with just the right amount of relaxation and bustle for me! First, I made breakfast and lunch with the girls and tried to clean the house up for Giulio's birthday party. Gianna and Giulio came home for lunch and then I took a nap because the allergy medicine I am taking makes me so tired! After I woke up, we went to Conegliano! It is about a 20 minute drive from Vittorio Veneto. Giulio, Momo, the girls and I were just walking the streets and taking it all in. We found a street that led to a castle and tried to make it all the way up the long steps but with two small girls, it was harder than I thought. Nat, we are going to have to go back there and explore because we didn't make it all the way to the top. We, of course, had gelato and then made the trek back to the car. Giulio accidentally got lost and so we ended up in some countryside town and didn't know where we were! His GPS wasn't working but we finally found our way home while the girls and Momo took a nice nap. Then, it was time for Giulio's dinner! Angelo grilled up the biggest steaks I have ever seen and I ate the whole thing. Wow...a lot of steak! We had gelato again for his birthday and then went for a short walk into the corn fields with the girls' new lanterns. We said goodbye to Giulio and now I am off to my cold bath and to bed! Tomorrow is a very busy day! We have to clean in the morning with Maria, take a nap after lunch, and then we are off to dance practice in town because the girls have a dance recital in the city center tomorrow night. I guess it is for some sort of festival and it is outside. I told them they must be celebrating the 4th of July, Independence Day! Have fun with your barbeques and the fireworks! I will be thinking of you tomorrow! Happy 4th of July everyone! Eat a piece of corn on the cobb and some baked beans for me Mom and James! Love you
