I'll Sea You in the Morning

This morning was just beautiful! We left the house at 6:15 and we arrived in Brussa at 7:15. The beach was clear, we had it all to ourselves! It was just amazing...this beach has thousands of people on it everyday but it was all ours for an hour or so. We played in the water for a good hour or so and the girls just love it. We sing and dance in the water and they love to swim back and forth between Gianna and me. We stayed until 12:30 and then we came home before it was too hot for Momo. Man, does he love to swim! Angelo had lunch ready for us at home. We had a classic Italian dish, sliced cantalope with slices of prochutto on it. It is actually really good because the salt of the meat is great with the sweet cantalope. We had some really good olive bread with stracchitella, a very strange cheese, stringy but very wet like fresh mozzarella. We were so tired from swimming all day that we took a nice long nap. I finished another book today that I really enjoyed! There's nothing better than reading a great book in the shade of an umbrella on the beach! I was awakened by loud thunder so I went to see what everyone was doing. The girls were still sleeping but Gianna and Angelo were outside doing yard work before the storm started. We did a little cleaning up and then when it started to rain, we went inside and started dinner. Pasta with mussells that are still in the shell isn't my favorite meal but it was pretty good. I have liked trying different meals here that I wouldn't normally ever try. Tomorrow, the family is going on a long and intense day hike while I am going to explore Padova! I am leaving on the train from Vittorio Veneto at 8am and then I don't come back until 8pm. 12 hours for me to try and not get lost in a big Italian city...wish me luck! Padova, here I come!
