Pizza Night!

Tonight, Gianna had a girls night with her collegues from school while we had a nice dinner of pizza and gelato! Delicious! We had three different kinds: proschutto and mushroom, margherita, and parmesan with aubergene. I had no idea what aubergene was...I have never heard of it but they eat a lot of it here. It kind of looks like big slices of zucchini or eggplant maybe? I don't know, the texture is a little too mushy for me but it's okay. We had a lot of gelato! I had pistachio and bacio, which is kiss in Italian. It is a creamy chocolate gelato with macadamia nuts inside! HMMMMM..... Tomorrow, we might be going to the mountain for a picnic or to the local pool. Depending on the weather, we might not do either but we will have to wait and see! This weekend, I have the whole house to myself so I am trying to think of places I can go that are not too far away so I can come back and feed Momo during the day. It is so hot here I don't want to leave him outside for too long. I think I will just look around the town again and travel by bus so it is easy for me to get around and back the house easier. Ciao for now and hopefully pictures tomorrow of the mountains or the pool! Either will be fun! Countdown to Natalie is 8 days! Woohoo! We were talking to the girls tonight about Natalie coming and they were confused of her name because it is similar to the word, Natalia, which is Christmas in Italian! We had a laugh about that! Ciao!

  1. Christmas is coming to Italy! Haha, I had no idea Natalia is Christmas in Italian. Makes sense though, as it's English meaning is "Christmas child", and am born near Christmas.

    1. Yes, I don't know if I spelled it right but it is something like Natali or Natalia? Perfect though, right?
