Friday Fun Day!
Today was really relaxing because we had company from out of town, Katia and Michaelangelo. They played all morning in the pool in the backyard and had a blast. Momo joined in on the fun and had his own pool party in the kiddie pool! After he was done, the water was black and he was so dirty! He got to stay outside for most of the day and get cleaned off... Then, while I was giving the girls a bath upstairs, Momo decided to dig himself a nice big hole in Gianna's herb garden so he could cool off...and get even more dirty! Ahhh...that silly dog. The girls had a very long nap after Katia and Michaelangelo left. While they were sleeping, I looked up some places to go in Verona. I guess I am going on Sunday to Verona because we have a reservation for dinner at a nice restaurant called Galium with Luca, Christina, and Pierre Georgio for dinner tomorrow. They are leaving for 3 weeks to visit Christina's family in southern Italy. That should be delicious! Many people in town keep talking about how good this restaurant is so I am excited to try it out! Tonight during dinner, Gianna asked me if I would feel comfortable staying at their house with Momo for a weekend so they can go celebrate their anniversary with the girls. I think that will be fun to have the house to myself! I am glad they trust me enough to stay here alone and to look after their one and only son, Momo! I have a few things that I want to do that weekend that I can take the bus for. I have been wanting to go to a local museum but it is only open on Saturday and Sunday afternoons. We are so busy on the weekends that I haven't had a chance to go! I am excited for this to happen soon! So, after going on a nice walk tonight, I am very ready to relax, take a bath, and finish my book! Since I have been here, I have finished 3 books and almost a 4th. I really need to read more often...I don't do it enough and I need to make the time! Well, off to bed I go. More tomorrow from Galium and its delicious food!
