The Weather is Perfect!
Today was a beautiful day in Vittorio Veneto! The locals think it is too cold but I am perfectly happy with it being around 75 to 80 degrees everyday! I opened all the windows open this morning and smelled the fresh air while I made eggs and coffee...it was delighful! I hung around the house until 1:00 when I went to pick up the girls from school on my bike. We watched a little "Free Willy" before they went to take a long nap. After they woke up, I made a snack of pears, crackers, and nutella. I have been told that nutella is a staple around here. I have never been a big fan of it before now but it isn't so bad, very good on crackers and fruit! After snack, we caught the bus down the road just in time and went to the city center to watch the swans in the pond. We met up with Gianna and Angelo at a park and then went home for dinner. Anna now has a fever so she and Angelo stayed home while we went on a long walk after dinner. We talked a lot about Angelo's family and how they don't speak much to them. After his father died very young of a heart attack, their family was never the same. It sounds like they are very close minded and only think about money and themselves, not at all like Gianna and Angelo. It was a very nice conversation and I like talking to Gianna. She is a very good person who is very mature and smart. Tomorrow is the girls' last day of school. I don't think Anna will be going so I will stay home with her. I think Giulia still wants to go but she might change her mind in the morning. The weather says it is going to rain all night long and into tomorrow. I think we are going downtown tomorrow night to listen to live music so hopefully it will stop raining by then. On Saturday, we are going to Venice for a very nice lunch and meeting Giulio there. I am very excited for it and can't wait to go explore another part of Venice! Ciao!
