A Short Morning Walk Around Vittorio Veneto

Today was a great day for a trip to the weekly market that is only on Mondays downtown. I found some good stuff for friends and family and a nice necklace for myself. I found a coffee maker there for 5 euro that I just had to buy to show people how they make coffee here. It is very different and makes only a little cup at a time but very strong! After the market, I walked back to Gianna's parafarmacia to go get the girls from school. It was so hot today that we decided to get their little pool out so they could play in it this afternoon. I read a book while they swam, it was wonderful. Then, Maria came today so I talked to her for a little bit and then it was dinner time. We had some sort of strange pea soup, only it looks like baby food. It actually wasn't that bad with a lot of salt for flavor...interesting soup for sure. Well, after a long COLD shower, I am off to bed because tomorrow is a trip to Bassano! I understand it as a smaller town but still in the district of Veneto. It was very well known in WWII because many Italian soldiers died there in a battle so they renamed the town Bassano del Grappa, after Mount Grappa where the battle was fought. It looks like a beautiful town so I hope some amazing pictures to come! Arrivederci!
