A Very Relaxing Day

Today, I woke up a lot of times because there was a construction man working on the remodel early this morning...it was not the best day for me to sleep in. I somehow slept through some of the racket and woke up around 10:00. I had some warmed up cheche, the beans or vegetable things that we had a couple nights ago. They are very good with some fresh diced tomatoes, pepper, and olive oil. Then, I watched some television shows from the UK that we don't have at home. Some neat dance show that was in English was on that I really liked. Then, I was off to go get the girls from school on foot. It is not a very long walk but some of it is uphill so I get tired when I finally get there. The nuns know who I am now so when I ring the security door for them to open it, they let me in. Some of the nuns are friendly, others are not so much. The girls and I walked home and I put them down for a nap in the afternoon. I made Gianna and I lunch around 2:00, or at least I attempted. I made spaghetti with tomatoes, pepper, olive oil and oregano. She said it was very good but I should never break the noodles in half before I cook them because then they are harder to eat and to spin on your fork. She was very funny when she told me, they always seem so mad over the silliest things but they are just very verbal and expressive. It took me off guard at first but then I realized that it is just their personality to be overly expressive. They probably think I am the most soft spoken person they have ever met. After lunch, Angelo came home for the day. He had to work upstairs for a bit so the girls and I painted our nails. Then, we did some yard work...or Angelo did...we picked flowers and I helped Angelo with picking up all of Momo's toys in the yard. Dinner was next with a green salad, some homemade bread with some formaggio cheese, salami, and something that resembled a chicken cordon bleu. Angelo got them from a shop where all the foods come from Napoli, southern Italy. It was shaped just like it but it has a crispy outside, a rice texture inside, with lots of cheese and pieces of ham inside too. After dinner, we went for a nice bike ride around the vineyards and their neighborhood. The area is so beautiful at night and everyone is outside gardening or still eating dinner on their porch. Since it is so hot during the day, a lot of people do their yard work or laundry at night. Gianna told me today that it is cheaper to us the electric power during the night and on the weekends so that is when people do most of the inside work and outside during the week. Tomorrow, we go to a castle called Castellana I think? There are so many names of things that I really need to start writing them down during the day because I don't remember then this late at night. Ciao for now, more tomorrow with pictures!
