I rocked the 24 hours of flying...besides getting no sleep!

Alright everyone, I made it safe and sound in Italy! Let me start by saying that the flight was very long but good. Customs was very easy to find and my connecting flights were not too hard to find. The first flight was very easy with no problems and only 3 hours long into Minneapolis from Boise. Then, it was the 8 hour flight to Amsterdam that really was difficult.  I could not sleep at all because the man next to me was moving around too much and could not get comforable...when he finally did go to sleep,  he might as well have been in my lap! Very awkward but thank goodness for movies on planes, otherwise I would have been very bored! I was very happy with the food on the long flight because there were many options to choose from. I had the strawberry chicken that was very good. So another check through customs and a very short layover in Amsterdam and then on the way to Venice!  I kept thinking of how I would know for sure if it was my family but sure enough,  Gianna brought Momo the dog with her to the airport and I saw uim first out the gate! She figured I would at least recognize the dog! My luggage was there right away so no more worries there. Gianna is very nice and speaks English pretty well,  her husband Angelo too. It has been easier to speak with them than I thought. They are very interested in knowing English words more and teaching it to their girls, Anna (4) and Giulia (5).

While we were driving to their home, I was confused because I thought they lived in Treviso but no....I was very wrong. They live past Treviso in a smaller town called Vittorio Veneto. In that town, they actually live in an area called Capella Maggiore. It is very confusing on where towns end and begin but I will get it soon. Anyway, the family has been very welcoming and I have appreciated it very much. Yesterday, we went to Gianna's parapharmacia that she owns and runs by herself. She seems like a very strong woman. Her husband Angelo is an account manager for a pharmeciudicals company and stays very busy with his job. I can see why they need someone for July when they are on holiday from school.

Their house is very large for an Italian home I think. It hss 4 levels, one being the garage, storage room, and mud room. The second floor has a half bathroom,  kitchen, living room, and dining room. It also hss two patios off the rooms but they are turning one patio into a bigger kitchen in a remodel. It should be very nice. Everything in their house looks like it could be out of IKEA!  Very modern and chic taste!

While the girls were at their dance rehearsal, Angelo showed me around the town. It has been rainy here but I like it better than very hot like it will be soon! It was pouring rain and lots of lightning on the drive but it was amazing to see all the old architecture. He took me to a castello where the pope owns it to govern this area or region of Italy.

I have lots more to tell but it will have to wait...I am so tired! Ciao for now!
