A HOT night for a school carnival...did I say HOT???

Tonight was the carnival for the kids to show all their families what songs they had learned all year. The theme was farm animals and some of the songs were in English! Old MacDonald was a popular one and another where they sang about what the baby animals were called. There was only one problem...the concert was outside and at the hottest time of day...holy moly was it HOT! I wore a dress but it was still ridiculously hot. After we stayed for a bit and talked to some of their friends, we went to get gelato downtown. I told Angelo that I wanted pistaccio (my favorite!) and he comes back with 4 scoops of gelato in all kinds!!! Wow, I thought I was going to be sick but I guess that is a normal amount for an adult to get! Then, we went home and fixed a sandwich and sat outside. The girls and I worked on some English words and sounds with the cards I brought. Then, the best part of the day....a cold shower! Man, do I look forward to that everyday! I wear so much sunscreen and bug spray on my body all day that it feels like glue by the end of the day on my skin...gross! I think I take the coldest shower in all of Italy but it feels so good! Tomorrow I am going downtown for the weekly market again. I will see what treasures I find this week! I also got paid this week so I feel rich! 60 euro feels like a lot to give me when they have been so nice and hospitable to me, I feel like I should work for free! Then, after shopping I have to take the bus to the girls' school to get them before 1:30, the first exit time to pick up children. If you are late, they won't let you in until 3:00 because they have to let the little babies nap and the alarm on the door wakes them up. Hopefully I can get there with the bus schedule, it runs on its own schedule so you never know when it will come or not. I keep forgetting to tell everyone that Natalie is coming to stay here for two weeks!!! She is arriving on July 25th and then flying home with me on August 6th on the same flights. Perfect time and I am so excited to see her! By that time, I will want to see a familiar face! Nat, I told Angelo and Gianna of the story on how we met and they said, "Ahh, what a beautiful story! The very best of friends!" Ciao for now and enjoy the school's festival!
